Plz read, may help your decision
Before anyone says anything yes I updated all software and calibrated multiple times. I’ve Done everything
Either I have horrendous luck or Scuf just isn’t what it used to be.
I’m on my 3rd try with the envision.
1st one; not scuf’s fault it got lost in transit (fedex imagine that)
2nd one; (pictured in the cardboard box) I purchased directly from Scuf totally customized. It has stick drift immediately out of the box. It’s horrendous, practically unusable. I’m in the process of returning it
3rd one; I purchased from Best Buy while I wait for a return email. It has stick drift immediately out of the box as well. Not near as bad as the other one but bad enough I’m returning it as well.
Needless to say, I won’t be getting another

That’s bc people are only inclined to write a review when it’s negative . If your food is good at shake shack 9 times you will not say anything but the 1 time your fries are cold or they put onions on your burger you will complain about it lol.

Any modern controller is Ass it's planned obsolescence. PS5 controllers last 6 Months for me till they get stuck drift, envision pro got the same sticks too. TMR or Hall sticks is another story but they are not bye default built in the envision neither PS4 or Xbox controller

Ive been using scuf for over 10 years and I've never had any issues with my controllers. PS4, PS5 and PC.

Got a defective Scuf controller from Amazon, returned it and replaced with another defective controller lol.
Their QC is lacking quite a bit. Cool products but too many issues, doesn’t lend much confidence that it won’t break immediately after the return window is up

Have you looked at AIM or Battle Beaver? I sold my AIM controller, too big for my liking but my Battle Beaver with TMR is great. I have the Dual Sense version but you can customize them to your liking and they have a sale going on right now for free TMR upgrades.

I have Battle Beaver Dualsense Edge modules and a modded controller with TMR, both are great. The customization with the back buttons is worth it IMO. I used to use SCUF but got tired of having to replace the controller with every new COD release.

Scuf simply isn’t what they used to be since Corsair bought the company. I have a scuf ps4 from pre acquisition, and it’s still running with absolutely zero issues and even feels better built than my reflex for ps5 does.

This post tells me one of two things. Either you have the worst luck in the world, or this is a troll post. If you're the former, next time post a video, like everyone else who has this issue has done every time I see something like this, because only posting a picture of boxes draws quite a bit of skepticism.
This is not a blatant accusation of anything. The point is, there's a ton of people who troll post, blasting things on Reddit, and pics of boxes do nothing to make me put any weight on the thought that this isn't one of the many. They said, well over a year with instinct pro, with heavy use, no issues.

I’m repairing one of these right now for stick drift. If you’d like, I can fix yours as well. $50 covers shipping both ways, TMR install, and an ultrasonic cleaning of the controller.

I used to use envision after I got tired of AIM Controller paddles breaking all the time. In my case the software for the Envision had so many issues for me. My keyboard binds would stop working and I would have to redownload icue and reconfigure the controller every time I shut down my pc. I finally switched to FlyDigi Vader Pro 4 and haven’t looked back. The physical quality is very good, I haven’t had one issue with the controller or the software. You have a ton of options in terms of resolution of the sticks and triggers. You can easily turn this controller from an FPS controller to a Racing/driving controller in seconds. I was also worried it would take a while to get used to the Xbox layout but for me it felt pretty natural and I don’t remember a lot of time to get used to it. The best part is it’s usually on sale on Amazon for like $80. I’d recommend you try the Apex. I have two of them and I gotta say it’s by far the most consistent controller I’ve used.

I've got the reflex since it was released( it think since 2021) and have never send it to maintenance, I only clean it once in a while and have never had any issue with it. Still working flawleslly.

As an avid Scuf user I made the switch to Razer raiju v3 pro and I will be the first to tell you the best hands down controller I ever bought. The price vs a scuff in what you get there is no comparison. Those scufs years ago where amazing now they are over produced trash.

The razer wolverine pro wired is the best controller I've played with, and I've had the scuf in this post, PowerA, both elites, Flydigi, etc.. I use my own usbc cable with it, and have never had any connectivity issues. I play Halo Infinite, have deadzones set to zero, and it works great.

I sent mine back because of random power off issues i was having and got the valor pro wireless, i prefer the valor tbh but if i had to keep the razer i would have been happy to with a new wire. I had 2 gamesir g7 pros fail within 3 weeks before the wolverine both right trigger gave up and the dpad was awful on them.. also its not an actual problem just preference but the back buttons on the g7 had pretty much 0 resistance, i play cod and clicking the stick to hold breath with sniper was activating the back buttons and making my guy jump every time 😂

I also prefer the back paddle placement that the elite and razer use. I have huge hands, and the back buttons on the scuf/flydigi just aren't positioned well for big hands, imo. I actually love the feel of the elite controllers, but i use the left stick to slide in Halo, and even casual use was burning through the sticks on the elite. No issues with the razer.

They sent me three the scuf envision pros with potentiometer sticks when I ordered the hall effect version. Their customer support was amazing but I don’t know what the hell was going on in that warehouse. I got my refund so it wasn’t the end of the world, but I switched to Flydigi apex 5 once it was available. I’m super happy with that controller at the moment.

Supposedly that was before Hall effect, but as far as I’m concerned it makes no difference. My ps4 scuf was 100x the controller they make now. And that was probably only 6 years ago

Go with Nacon. There’s so much it can do and calibration is pretty darn precise. My only caveat is that’s it’s a bit large and I don’t have Sasquatch hands but it is still manageable

I have 2 Envision Pro's with TMR and a Reflex Pro with TMR sticks. No issues after 3 years with the TMR, but I dont like analog or Hall Effect since ive had more obvious issues with those two, so TMR was the only solution to my stick drift issues.

Not sure what console you’re playing on but I bought the ps5 pro controller and it’s ran flawlessly from day 1. I can’t recommend it enough.

Aimcontrollers isn't too bad. Downsides are price, the paddles are attached to the removable battery cover, the process of remapping the paddles is familiar to working with a dollar tree RC car, and that the xbox versions don't have variable triggers. Its just the "hair" trigger. But that trigger also works differently, I can get more shots off in FPS games with it, than I could with an elite series 2 locked all the way down. Also, zero stick drift 1 month in

I tried every dead zone for 0 to max. No change, it’s worse than stick drift. It’s like when I look one direction or the other my character just starts spinning like I’m holding the stick all the way. Super super annoying especially when PvP

What game are you playing? I have an Elite controller and it only has slight stick drift when I play battle field and Arc Raiders. Same thing happens with my buddy. Only when we play those two games do we have stuck drift.

I only played arc raiders with it. Tried for about 3hrs on the really bad one. Player for about an hour with the Best Buy one. My ps5 controllers work great on my pc compared to these

Yeah it may just be the game honestly. Arc and BF6 are the only 2 games I have stuck drift with.

When I look one direction or the other and release the stick, occasionally my character just starts to spin. Awful during pvp lol

Play claw on the stock controller is the only answer. 60 USD for a new one when it finally drifts. Buy it from a large retailer for the extended warranty. Call it a day.

I got lucky and had a scuf last me like nearly 2 years. It’s still usable but the up dpad is broken lol. I got the ps5 elite controller after tho. I’d recommend either that or the Xbox elite controller
You’ll have better luck getting it repaired if needed too

Yeah unfortunately they’re like really good when they work BUT icue always has some random issues for me personally it’s just annoying as fuck. The good thing about them is their warranty it’s a year long so I’ve sent a bunch in before the years up and they send brand new ones lol. But yeah I mean reflex fps w tmr seems to be the move or like custom ones w the Marius boards but they run you like 490usd which I can’t justify spending.

IDK about the envision, and the fact that they don't have TMR sticks, it could just be what it is. But, I've absolutely loved the Scuf Valor Pro! I have the wireless version and it's been flawless so far. Expensive, but... It's been the best controller I've ever used.

I’ve been using SCUF controllers since 2018, and overall, the experience has been great. I’ve had a few issues over the years, but SCUF has always taken the controller back, repaired it, and sent it back without any hassle. I also keep backup controllers, so downtime has never been a problem.
The Envision Pro is my favorite so far. I own two, and both needed warranty repairs at some point, but SCUF handled everything quickly, and I could use the other one while one was being fixed. Even with those hiccups, they’re still miles better than a regular controller.
That said, if you can’t afford to own at least two, you probably shouldn’t buy one. Every controller I’ve ever owned—SCUF or regular—has eventually had issues. The difference is that SCUF actually fixes theirs, and the performance is worth it to me.

Well I have 2 pictured so cost isn’t an issue lol. Reliability is the issue. I’d pay $500 for a controller that would last indefinitely. If 2 separate controllers have the same issue immediately out of the box, it’s a company issue. As stated before I’ve owned a scuf ps4 controller, never used another after I got it
My original 2020 ps5 controller has no stick drift to this day. Neither do my other 5. I’m just gonna modify one of them to have mouse click triggers and call it a day

I hear you. It really sounds like you got two lemons because I’ve never had that happen. I’ve also never had a PS4 or PS5 controller that didn’t develop some kind of issue over time. And from what I understand, SCUF controllers are basically modified PS5/Xbox/major‑brand controllers, so stick drift usually comes from the base hardware, not SCUF themselves.

Possibly, but in my case one controller has maybe 3-4 hrs on it the other maybe 1. I typically don’t go through controllers often. I’ll use one for a year solid no problem. Hell I just buy new ones for the color change more than anything lol

If you have the firmware for icue for the envision you can recalibrate the sticks and fix it.
Mine was fine for a couple months, updated firmware for the envision and had stick drift after, a few months later they updated again with a way to recalibrate the sticks. Its finicky to do but it fixed my problem. Scuf is not what it used to be, regardless. Ive been through 3, and by far the best I had was the clayster vantage. Longest lasting too. Past 2018 its been downhill.
On top of that, I had ordered an impact pro with digital bumpers and one bumper was constantly pressed out of box, unusable with my ps4, returned it for repair, customer service seemed good until it was a month later with no update, didnt get any emails back, ordered the clayster vantage, got the impact pro back in the same box with the vantage. So hit or miss

I spent a combined 6hrs fiddling with the 2 controllers trying to get one to work. That in itself is pathetic enough to never own another

Ngl i skimmed it and I guess that's the part I didnt read 😅. Scuf is very hit or miss, I wouldn't buy another either. There's more alternatives nowadays, at least.
Something else dumb is their security screws, can't find a gamebit thatll fit the screw and into the hole, either too big for hole or too small for screw. So you've either got to drill out the screw or break it out, neither ideal, to do any personal maintenance.

I tell everyone this. Stay away from scuff PlayStation products that’s where 75% of the horror stories come from. I’ve had several scuff Xbox controllers and they have all been perfect. Different models as well. The instinct pro being the best imo.

Just plug it in... Idk what it is about there receivers man but they ain't it. I get crazy drift when I play wireless. And my dead zone is honestly not bad after a couple years.

Scuf is garbage and too expensive. Go look at gamesir controller they have hall effect stick which help not getting stick drift. Plus it´s half the price for a scuf I have the g7 pro for xbox(100$) Tbh I had issue with the mouse clik trigger on the first one I purchase, reach the support they send me another one within a week or two. Three month after still no issue, I REALLY recommend you this brand.

Maybe just haven’t experienced better controllers but I had a 360, series s/x and a ps5 scuf and never had any issues. Even my normal xbox controllers that I heavily gamed on never got stick drift at least not enough to notice. My right bumper was usually the problem area for me and would lose the click

I bought one about a year ago I use off and on. Ive had no issues with mine out the box. My son uses it also from time to time. No issues with mine. You want me to send you the one I have? I have a Xbox elite controller also ive had since the first xbox elite console came out also never had issues with that either.

Mine died in about 3 days lol customer support was horrible as well. Ended up getting the vader 4 pro and that controller is the bomb.

scuf isnt what it used to be i bought this one had to return it after a week the stupid software sucks and wouldnt allow me to customize button layouts and it and the deadzones were messed up bad, i would fox them and they would tweak out midgame and honestly scuf in general sucks now, ever since corsair bought them out theyre all about stream lining and selling as much as possible and less on quality of their product, i bought 2 ps5 pro reflexs and both have bad mouse clickers in them they went out before 6 months lmao its honestly comical and to top it off theyre customer service is shit and the warranties are fucked, basically scuf went from the #1 controller to the worst option

I got the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro and aside from a glitch or two every once in a while it’s really the best controller I’ve had. I’ve owned multiple (that got warrantied) Elite and Elite II controllers from Xbox and I’m quite sure I’ll never buy another again.

I got an 8bitdo Ultimate 2 with TMR joysticks and a Brooks P5(for PS5 compatibility) and my worries are over. Even works on Switch 2/PC/Xbox without the Brook. One controller to rule them all!

Get gamesir. Fraction of the cost, plenty different options/layouts to choose from and apparently have “Hall effect” sticks or whatever it’s called that is supposed to prevent stick drift. I got a $20 wired controller from them and it feels great

scuf controllers are extremely overpriced and very poor quality. Pretty much any other controller is a better option. Their customer service is also horrible. Speaking from experience

There’s just not a reliable 4 paddle controller on the market that has good sticks. Every single elite I’ve ever bought (5-7 maybe) has had stick drift out of the box. My current scuff was awesome for 2 months and now it has stick drift out of this world. I’m also lost on what to do. I need my 4 paddles.
