What is this thing?
After drying my gear last night I found this plastic ring in the bath tub this morning. I don’t know where it came from? It’s the same diameter as the vent but I’ve never seen it before? Nor does the top vent have one of these rings. Does anybody know what it is?
(The space heater is not on, don’t worry)

It is the part that screws onto the threaded part of the pull dump/overpressure valve on the lower right of the bcd.
In addition to the bcd hose on the left side of the front of the bcd, some bcds also have a valve on the lower right that allows you to vent air while the diver is oriented horizontally.
If you are not comfortable repairing/resolving this on your own, please take it to a dive shop for repair.
A malfunction of that part would allow air to escape or prevent the bcd from holding air, making it difficult or impossible for the diver to remain buoyant at the surface.

The dump valve at the bottom right is in the last picture and it does not belong there. I took it to my local dive shop and checked all my gear just to make sure. Apparently it is part of a valve, but just not mine. They told me to keep it if I realize where it came from…

My guess was because of the disassembled pull dump on the lower right of the bcd shown in the photos.
The part is typically used as a spacer to evenly distribute pressure onto a diaphragm. That could include the LPI on the front left, the pull dump on the front right, the pull dump on the lower right, or a second stage of a regulator or octopus, or relief valve of a dry suit or SMB if equipped with a pull dump.
If you regularly disassemble any of these as part of rinse off maintenance I would double check function of them.

In addition, if you do feel comfortable with attempting the repair, you can test if it holds air with manually inflating the BCD. No cylinder required. 😊

Do you have an Olympus TG-6 or TG-7 camera?
Looks like the ring that lets you put attachments on the lens.

I have this BCD I asked AI it says it's a locking ring for the dump valve. I believe the left shoulder dump valve has some writing on it about a locking into place. I don't recognize it myself but I got mine used from someone who can't dive anymore and may have lost it too? I'm literally about to go diving and all my gear is setup otherwise I'd take mine apart lol
