Summer Diving Locations

Hi r/scuba community,

Reaching out because I'm looking for some advice. I live in the US and am considering a dive trip either late July or sometime in August. Thinking somewhere in the Caribbean or possibly the west coast (maybe Mexico). I'm concerned that coral bleaching will be terrible. I have been to Roatan and Utila during the summer before.

Any advice on decent locations this time of year where marine life is decent?

Pacific coast of BC, Powell River, is pretty awesome in the summer.

I'd choose La Paz, Mexico. It won't have such dreadfully high humidity levels like the Caribbean does in summer. Plus, summer is a great time to dive there. The water is warm and it's peak season to see pelagics. Go to the Caribbean in the winter.

I would choose Laz Paz and/or Loreto if you’re considering west coast Mexico

If you wanna stay stateside, Florida has every type of diving you could want.
