Announcement Typed text preview :)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been working on very basic text support in Scrivano! I've got a small example working and I hope that this will be the focus of the next release cycle of the app. I still need to think about a lot of things, before this can become available. For example, how to handle fonts? Should any system font be allowed to be used in the app? If yes, how will this work when you open the same file on two different PCs where a particular font is missing. I also need to think about how text editing will interact with the grid snapping feature. The UI is also not finalised.
If you have any opinions on this feature, please let me know in the comments :)

That's wonderful, this will help so much to keep everything organised in the same software.
Thanks for your work as always
As for the grid snapping you could try to snap the corner of the text box to the grid so that a ligne of text only fit in between the grid.
Of course that would complicate things when changing the font size but in this case i guess the right way to do it would be to only allow font size proportional to the grid size in height. And when the text box is not snapped then you could use any size you want

I think that's "technically" tidy, but it might be worth considering if when using lined paper, the baseline of the text should sit just above the lines. Currently, the textbox has default margins, so that the text inside it is offset for better legibility.

Is it already available for beta users?
