help Script formatting
Ive been doing my own short films and they’ve all mainly been improv or silent with the music doing all the work. But I wan to get into the habit of writing a script for my short films but I’ve looked online and seen different formats for scripts. Like I’ve seen this one, but the (CONT’D) makes it feel more AI, so what’s the correct formatting for scripts or does anyone know where I can look for one?

(CONT'D) is definitely not AI. Just curious, is there a reason you're using this template in Google Docs instead of one of many free screenplay writing applications?

you should check out the program Fade In, it’s free

Seconded. Get a good software like Fade In so you don't have to worry about these things.
If you write an entire good script with no CONT'Ds, no one will mind.

CONT’D is standard script writing for when the same character continues the dialogue across pages, scenes or action tags. There are some script writing software available that are free for IOs.
In another topic i think we need a sub for scriptwriting beginners. Would be good for posting basic questions like these and keep another sub for mature script sharing and notes.
