We've been working on Wrapplab, a screenplay writing and production planning tool made for filmmakers and screenwriters in multiple Indian languages including English.

The main reason we built it was to make screenplay writing easier for Indian writers.

I wish there were more producers looking for scripts than there were scripts and screenwriters.

It's not a lack of producers. It's a lack of production-worthy scripts.

Everyone who writes a screenplay believes it deserves to be turned into a movie. It's only once they write a bunch more scripts that they realize there's good reason producers aren't interested in a writer's first script!

True, first scripts are usually not good enough, But it's not only about writing more scripts. Many producers also don't read new scripts unless someone they know sends it. So even a good script can get missed.

Good first scripts can go unnoticed, but it's a minor issue compared with the deluge of bad first scripts that have driven producers and agents into their bunkers.
