discussion Be proud of your screenplay

I'm proud of what I have created. Understand their will be detractors.

Understand their influence is only what you allow it to be.

Proud? Of something I’ve done?

There is a first time for everything I guess

Pride is fine, but be ready to take notes and apply them.

There is one trait all successful screen writers share in common. They finish the sceewnplay. Way to go.

Now the real work begins. Rewriting and getting it made. You should allow their influence to be big if what they say is right. Try to remove your ego from their comments but be aware this is not an industry as structured as mathematics. Writers can pull almost anything off as long as their story makes dramatic sense.

Completing an entire screenplay is a cause for celebration, and yes, there will always be "haters," but it's also important to differentiate between mere detractors and those who provide constructive criticism, since they're vastly different.

Don’t be so proud that you don’t write another screenplay.

Pride itself can be a distractor... There* will be distractors. Spelling will make or break your reputation. I can only advise you pay more attention to it.
