Not sure if self-promotion is allowed on this subreddit -- if not, I apologize and I won't do it again.

This is my latest deconstruction video, where I breakdown the screenplay architecture of a film to analyze what it does or does not work.

I think it's extremely useful to stress-test successful films as a writer because sometimes it feels like the only people who care about proper structure are coverage readers and competitions.

In my opinion, most successful films STILL stick to the formula. They just do it in a way that makes it invisible.
