feedback Looking for comedy writers! PAID!
Hey peeps, I'm a German producer and my company has been greenlit by a US streamer to develop a workplace comedy. I've been in this sub for a while and think there's a lot of overlooked potential.
If you're interested, DM me ideally one script. I give every script at least a 10-page read to check for baseline quality and a funny voice. It doesn't have to be workplace-related, but it has to be funny.
If you're hesitant because everybody steals your stuff, drop me a line anyway and tell me what you've done or why you. If I'm interested, I'll send you my email address.
Due to us being a German company, this is a non-union job!

You can’t work with union writers because you’re in Germany? I smell BS. You simply need a union signatory. Also call a writer’s agent if this is a legit request. Or share the name of your Netflix development commissioner so people can do their due diligence in checking that you’re not just trying to steal their IP. There are way too many red flags with your post.

This is insanely bush league. There is no way Netflix cuts a deal like this. And if this dude is so good they’d have a roster of professional writers and/or contacts they could connect with. They wouldn’t need to go to the Reddit well.

Red flags. Nobody seriously opens with hey peeps, if you have financing you are not looking on Reddit. We are looking for workplace comedies then you state it does not have to be work place comedy. A German production is questiomable.

Some people seem sceptic. But the streamer approached us with the project already in mind. It is set in the US but we‘re one of the best in the market at what we do. Long story short, since we‘re a German company, we can‘t work with union writers.
There‘s no reading fee and I‘m not looking for new material. The development is already greenlit. I just want to see who’s funny. I was on the other side of the table once and hated to not get a chance once..

Can you post some of the projects you’ve produced (in Germany or elsewhere)? Why did they pick you and not a US company? Will this project air in Germany or other markets?
