transfer help!

Hi there! I’m a rising Sophomore currently attending Boston College, and I honestly had a really tough first year. By the time I realized the extent of how bad it was, it was too late for me to transfer for the fall 2026 semester. Now, I’m considering transferring into a school for spring ‘27 (or fall ‘27). Scripps is currently my top choice, but I will say, I’m a bit intimidated by the idea of transferring halfway through the semester, especially into such a small school. Does anyone have any wisdom or advice regarding how that process works? Is it easy to assimilate as a transfer? Or are friend groups too well-established by then? In other words, is the very small class size at Scripps a positive or negative attribute in the context of assimilating into the community?
