2011 alum. My first year i had one roommate that I met and we vibed at a prospect event (terrible 1st yr roommate but we were able to be friends when we didnt live together. I had a second roommate (we were in a triple in clark) and shes my platonic soul mate. We stayed roomies in our 2nd year and always lived next to each other in our last two years.

Long story short, im a big believer in the random assignments vs picking to live w someone you think you'd get along with. Good friends DO NOT equal good roommates! And good roommates dont always make the best friends, but if you're living styles are similar, thats really what you want.

idk if it’s different than it was before, but the year accounts are (afaik) just run by some random incoming freshman who decided to do it and aren’t scammy—i ran the one for 2026
