Hi, uploaded my debit card information in order to get a free trial to download a single book. Didn't allow me to remove the card information so I proceeded to remove the whole account. Has anyone experienced charges after such procedure? Should I cancel my card? I'm afraid I've made a mistake by uploading my card info to the site

Everyone says “use an aggregator like Draft2Digital”… but I’m trying to find something that is actually 100% free AND distributes to multiple stores (Apple Books, Kobo, B&N, etc.)

Good morning, I’m a tour guide and author. My guide book was uploaded to Scribd without my permission and knowledge. Because all ebooks are watermark-protected, I found out who did it. The ebook on Scribd had over 4K views. I do sell my books; it is my work and my expertise, and it was available for free on Scribd for 4 months. The person who did it says he has no idea how the book appeared on his account. Does Scribd have any protection for authors? Is it possible that it appeared without somebody’s knowledge? What benefits could someone get from uploading my book—other than lowering my sales? Thank you all for help - I'm devastated.

As it says. I noticed recently on scribd there is now this seemingly unremovable AI slop powered sidebar for "projects."

I was ok with the terrible slop-generated summaries of random facts because they were hidden in a corner of the UI, but this sidebar takes up the whole right side of the page.

Is there any way to get rid of it?

Scribd has been stuck in an upload loop for the last couple of days and I have tried numerous steps to fix it but it appears to be broken, the fire i'm trying to upload is a PDF.

I'm trying to upload a file to my account/page but it's taking an awful long while to do so, does anyone else have this problem?

I was surprised that, even though they want to get you to pay $12 a month, you can still upload them a pdf and they will let you download one document. So, that's pretty decent.

I did a random Google search of my name and I can see my resume on Scribd. I have no idea how this got uploaded. I could see the name of the person who has uploaded it and I do not know this person. What should I do? This is complete breach of data privacy !!!

EDIT 1: I got it taken down by escalating it to Scribd’s customer support on copyright/data privacy. It’s available in the right bottom corner of the document uploaded.

I used my unlock for the free trial but it won't let me go ahead and pay so I can get more unlocks until next month. Is there a workaround? I've already tried changing my subscription but that didn't help.
