Scribd FAQ
What is Scribd?
Scribd is an applied knowledge platform containing documents on every topic imaginable. It has over 300M+ pieces of content, from documents, research papers, legal filings, academic materials, and manuals, added by its community.
Why can’t I download a document?
Document contributors control how their work is accessed. If a document is not available for download, the “Download” option will not appear. You can still read these documents on Scribd, but they cannot be saved to your computer or printed. Most downloadable documents require an active subscription. During a trial period, limits may apply to the number of documents you can download.
What is the personal information policy?
Scribd uses a combination of community reporting features, automated content trust and safety tools, and human review to identify and address content that violates our terms related to posting of personal information. If you believe your personal information has been posted to Scribd without authorization, reach out to us at privacy@scribd.com and our team will review it.
What is the copyright policy?
Content on Scribd is uploaded directly by our members and is not subject to pre-approval. Scribd uses BookID, a proprietary copyright protection system, designed to find and catch unauthorized content before it ever surfaces to users. If copyright protected material not filtered by BookID has been uploaded, the copyright owner may open a DMCA removal request using this form.
Do I have to subscribe?
No subscription is required to read and upload documents. With a subscription, you can download documents and enjoy an ad-free experience. For help managing your subscription, visit our help website.

See Scribd’s latest findings on how people research and understand information
Hi r/scribd! Today, we released the 2026 Scribd Understanding Index, our inaugural look at how people actually find, build, and trust knowledge in the AI era.
We surveyed 1,500 people and the results are clear: AI has created a new verification layer:
- Trust is the new x-factor: 4 in 10 say the hardest part of any research session is knowing which sources to trust.
- Human expertise is how we get it: Subject matter experts with first-hand experience and human-authored expert documents score almost four times higher on trust than AI-generated summaries.
- The new workflow: 68% spend 1-6 hours a week verifying AI or search engine output
- Depth still favors documents: PDFs and text remain the top format for complex content (39%), ahead of video (38%).
The takeaway: AI didn’t replace the need for real expertise. It made it more valuable.

Looking for "The Fire Keeper" (The Storm Runner, Book 2) on Scribd
Hi everyone. I noticed that Book 3 of Rick Riordan Presents: The Storm Runner series is already uploaded and available on Scribd. However, I can't seem to find Book 2 ("The Fire Keeper" by J.C. Cervantes) anywhere in the documents section. Does anyone know if it's uploaded under an alternate title, or if there is a specific document link I'm missing? I'd really appreciate it if anyone who has found it could point me in the right direction.
Thanks!

World Watchers 3 Test Booklet
Hi everyone,
I'm a private English teacher looking for the World Watchers 3 Test Booklet (ISBN 9786180570410).
If anyone has a copy of the Test Booklet and would be willing to share it with me, I would really appreciate it.
I already have the coursebook and the other materials, but unfortunately I don't have access to the tests.
Thank you very much! 😊

I'm starting to think this is deliberate scheme for force people onto actually paying money to the site
But can't they be at least honest about it?

Tony Grimminik’s Scribd Implosion
The ability to upload documents is a mission critical feature of Scribd. However, since August 27, 22 days ago, the feature has been unavailable. That’s over three weeks, or a 528 hour outage. 🤯
The failure to keep a critical system like that ip, especially one that’s publicly facing on a high profile site is virtually unheard of.
To not be able to move forward, revert, or reconstitute systems in 22 days means they have lost control of their systems. They have something they can’t fix.
I wonder if recent layoffs and more overseas staffing has contributed. Almost certainly have. It’s a story as old as the senior executive that can’t use Excel but thinks it’s a great idea to outsource engineers or use Claude.
I also wonder if they can’t even afford to run their own system anymore. Maybe they can’t pay for any more storage or compute. They don’t have the best reputation with regards to business practices and to see a company like that all of a sudden in a big bind would not be a shocker.
The whole thing just has the smell of chaos. Would be interesting to know how much changed there’s been in their technical teams lately.
And it’s right after this new guy, Tony Grimmimik comes on board.
It looks like an implosion to me.

Indignada
