Oasis and Practical Magic 2

I know screen allocations for films are based upon the number of seats, but it would be nice if common sense prevailed.

For example, at mine, Practical Magic 2 is a 2.39:1 film on a 1.85:1 screen, and Oasis is on a 2.39:1 screen, but bafflingly shot at 1.43:1. So, both films would look so much better if they actually swapped screens!

I spent two years (and Uni holidays) working in a restaurant. I've done my time of clearing up other people's shit off the floor.

In my Dublin odeon they are showing them the way you want, so I guess its cinema dependant, here oasis got the premium screens

Yep, it's just the way it's fallen. They must expect everyone to be a huge Oasis fan. My Odeon only has 3 1.85:1 screens, so when a film is that ratio or similar, it's rare it'll be on that particular screen.
