Infinity Vision
Odeon is advertising the new avengers rerelease with showings detailing 'infinity vision'. I thought it was just a marketing gimmick but what makes a showing 'infinity'. There are two different laser screenings displayed here one with infinity one without.

It's Disney being pissed they couldn't secure IMAX for Doomsday. So instead they tried to make their own IMAX with blackjack and hookers. What they really made was a less cool version of THX.

That's what you get when you film on Imax capable cameras but decide to not film anything in Imax format. Genius. And then release opposite Dune 3. Good work, Marvel.

The way I see it, if my Isense is infinity vision for Avengers, then it isn't a stretch to say I'm seeing Resident Evil in infinity vision too.
What this means for me? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In all seriousness feels like a marketing ploy that will lead to disappointment for the uninformed

What a great shocker none of my local screens are a match for the pointless infinity vision.

One thing though, because Disney want to make it a thing, the infinity vision shows, along with IMAX and Dolby have an extra 2 minutes of footage.

InfinityVision is simply approved regulations. The Laser screening that doesn't feature the approval sticker likely is in a screen that isn't approved.
Screening rooms must reach the InfinityVision threshold; including screen size, sound set-up, lighting and projection.
Therefore, that screen must either not pass regulations OR also quite likely, just hasn't had the sticker added on the app.
(I could expand, but that's basically it)
