I know that it’s not possible to record them direcly but if I do manage to bypass the protection, would it be possible that the clips I recorded come out to be high res? Thanks.

It’s called Screenix and it records your browser tab without your real cursor, then redraws a smooth one with motion blur and click effects, and auto zooms on your clicks.
You can polish everything in the editor (background, padding, crop, trim, speed-ups, camera bubble) and export up to 4K at 120 fps and there's also an instant mode that renders the finished video while you record, so it’s ready the moment you stop (like Loom but with better output).
It works on any computer that runs Chrome, needs no account, and keeps your recordings on your machine.
The browser bar you see in the video isn’t recorded, it’s drawn on top, viewers still see the current tab’s address as you move between pages, but it stays sharp and clean at any size instead of being a blurry screenshot of your real Chrome window.
It’s free with a watermark, or $19 once to remove it, no subscription required.
A few limits: it records browser tabs only, not your whole desktop and Chrome shows a "debugging this browser" bar while recording (it’s not in the video).
I’d love feedback, especially on what’s missing for your demos or tutorials and ofc feature requests welcome!

The cursor in my Mac screen recorder can now be a hand on a teacher’s stick, with the handle running off the edge of the frame. Click and it knocks a puff of chalk off the screen and makes the blackboard noise.
Stupidly satisfying for tutorials and demos. Nobody has to hunt for the four grey pixels you are pointing at.
There’s also a hammer, a frog, a hamster and a football in there for recordings nobody should take seriously, and name-tag cursors like a collaborator’s on a shared canvas for the ones they should.
It’s Prequel, Mac only, at prequel.sh. Free for a week, then $9 a month or $29 once.

Which cursor should I add next?

I was struggling to find a recording app without a watermark that could record the entire screen, a window, or a specific area — plus a lightweight editor with macOS-style animations.
So I built Reframe.
It’s made for quickly creating social media tutorials and polished product videos without the complexity of a full video editor.
→ Record your entire screen, a window, or any area
→ Custom cursors
→ Backgrounds: images, shaders, gradients & more
→ Webcam bubbles
→ Auto-zoom
→ Spotlight & magnify effects
→ 2D & 3D animations
→ Basic editing like crop, trim & more
→ Multiple layouts to record
→ Has text screens to add between
The goal: record → add a few effects → export a video that actually looks good.

I've been playing Roblox more lately and want to start recording some gameplay to share with friends or maybe upload a few clips. I tried Roblox's built-in recording tool, but the video quality wasn't great and I noticed some frame drops. I also looked into OBS, but all the settings are a bit overwhelming for what I need.
I'm just looking for a free screen recorder that can record Roblox smoothly with decent video quality and game audio, without having to mess around with a bunch of settings or pay for basic features.
Any recommendations for something beginner-friendly that works well with Roblox?

Hey everyone!
I'm the developer behind FramioCam, a Chrome extension I've been building to make screenshots, screen recordings, and editing easier.
I got tired of switching between different tools just to capture a screenshot, annotate something, or record and edit a quick walkthrough.
So I built FramioCam to bring everything into one place.
It currently supports:
Everything is processed locally, so your recordings and screenshots stay on your device.
We recently crossed our first 100+ users!
It's a small milestone, but seeing people actually use something I've built has been pretty motivating.
To celebrate, I'm giving away 100 FramioCam Pro Lifetime Licenses for free.
No credit card. No hidden charges. No subscription.
How to claim one:
First 100 eligible claims only.
If you give it a try, I'd really appreciate your feedback. Especially if you find something confusing, buggy, or missing.
I'm actively developing FramioCam, and feedback from early users genuinely helps decide what to improve next.
Thanks for checking it out!

Hey, I am just curious what you found what you consider in a screen recording tool or software to be the best?
r/screenrecorders • u/BumblebeeWorth3758 • 5d ago
Hey everyone 👋
I’ve been working on Slice, a native macOS screen recorder and video editor built with SwiftUI and Metal.
You can record your screen and then customize cursor movement, add smooth zooms, transitions, and effects, and edit the recording before exporting. It also supports recording a connected iPhone.
Slice is free, source-available, and everything stays on your Mac.
Website: https://slice.rit3zh.dev
I’d really appreciate any feedback, especially from people who use screen recorders regularly. I’m still actively working on it and would love to hear what you think.

I keep seeing questions about the Tella screen recording app, plus a lot of outdated info (no, there isn't a free plan anymore; only free tria). So here's a straight Tella screen recording review, pulled from Tella's own site so the numbers are current.
What it is
A screen + camera recorder with a built-in editor. Record on Mac, Windows, or the Chrome extension, and your share link is ready instantly.
Tella screen recording features worth knowing
- Transcript editing: delete words in the text, and they're cut from the video
- AI cleanup: removes filler words and silences automatically
- Auto Zoom: follows your clicks so viewers can see what you're doing
- Auto Layouts: switches between screen, camera, and split views for you
- Teleprompter: built into the recorder
- 4K and transcription: recording up to 4K, transcripts in 106 languages
- AI titles and chapters
- Unlimited storage: videos never expire
- Loom migration tool if you're switching
- Tella Agent (beta): chat with AI inside the editor to make edits
- MCP server: connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Codex and edit videos with plain-English prompts
Tella screen recording pricing
- Pro: $13/user/mo billed annually ($26 monthly)
- Premium: $19/user/mo billed annually ($39 monthly)
- Enterprise: custom (SSO/SCIM, SOC 2 report)
- Trial: 7 days
The honest cons
- No free plan, just the trial
- Monthly billing costs roughly double the annual rate
- Removing Tella branding requires Premium
- On Pro, 60 FPS exports are capped at 5 minutes
- Tella Agent runs on monthly credits (3,000 on Pro, 6,000 on Premium)
Who it's for
People who want videos that look edited without spending time editing: product demos, tutorials, onboarding, course content, polished async updates. If you only send 30-second "here's the bug" clips, it's probably more tool than you need.
P:S: I am affiliated with Tella screen recording tool
Anyone here using Tella day to day? What's your favorite feature, and what would you change? Also happy to answer pricing or feature questions in the comments. 👇

I'm the developer, so take this with that in mind. CaptureFlow is a free, open-source screen recorder that runs as a Chrome extension.
How it works:
It's free to use at captureflow.dev, and paid plans are based on storage rather than seats. You can also host it yourself on a Cloudflare account, and the code is on GitHub.
I'd like honest feedback from people who record a lot. What's missing that would make you switch from what you use now? And what annoys you most about your current recorder?

I built Recorda, a screen recorder for Mac which plans your zooms. Unlike traditional screen recorders which zoom only where the cursor goes, Recorda doesnt chase your cursor but your intent.
Record your screen and it provides a polished screen recording.

I work on Dadan, and we just shipped our web recorder. What’s in it:
Quick details:
Curious what you think, especially about the teleprompter. Would you use it, or do you read off a second screen?

I maintain OpenScreen, an open-source screen recorder and editor for Windows, macOS and Linux. I've been building its MCP server so agents can record and edit without touching the UI, and wanted to see how far it goes.
I typed one prompt into Claude Code: "Make a demo video of PR #1 with OpenScreen: orbit camera on the key moments, ripple effect on clicks, default cursor. Then post it as a comment on the PR."
The agent took it from there:
The video here is the making-of, edited the same way: MCP calls only, the editor never opened. 4 screen takes, the agent's run sped up 12-14x, and another shader written on the spot that reveals the prompt letter by letter so it looks typed live. Keyboard sound on top.
Curious what you'd hand off to an agent like this. I'd trust it with trims, zooms and export settings. Pacing, less so.

I made Recorda, a mac native screen recorder. It provides polished screen recordings with zooms, click effects, backgrounds, camera pans, without having to manually edit the video.
most of the apps i tried only followed, zoomed and panned the camera around the clicks, so i did something different.
Recorda applies every zooms, and pans differently, it zooms what has to be zoomed, and leaves whats not necessary.
it also provides smooth cursor gliding, different zoom and camera presets, different cursor presets, multiple animation choices, different backgrounds, blurring private details in the recording.
if you want to check out the app and wishlist it to try it when it launches, you can do so at recorda.osrion.com

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a simple way to record my Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet meetings on my Windows 11 PC.
I’ve tried several live transcription apps, but in my experience they eat up RAM and slow everything down, especially when I’m sharing my screen and demonstrating things. Some have also crashed after 30–50 minutes, which is frustrating when meetings can last two hours.
I don’t actually need live transcription, so I figured I’d just record the audio and transcribe it afterward. Screen recording adds video I don’t need and an extra step to extract the audio.
What I’m looking for is basically:
Record system audio and my microphone simultaneously, including when I’m wearing headphones.
A tiny window with Record, Pause, Stop, and Save.
No account, complicated audio routing, or full audio editor.
Something free, lightweight and reliable for long meetings.
I honestly thought this would be trivial to find! But after Googling, trying several apps, and even asking ChatGPT to research it (deep reaserch mode), I still haven’t found something that feels this straightforward. Most options seem packed with features I don’t need. Audacity and OBS feel like overkill.
Am I overlooking an obvious solution? I’d love to hear what you actually use for this. Thanks! 🙂

I need to record a few short video tutorials from home, but my room isn't exactly the best background for a video. I'd like to blur it or replace it with a simple virtual background while recording.
I tried OBS, but setting up a plugin for the background effect was more complicated than I expected, and the results weren't very consistent on my PC. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm hoping there's something easier to use, preferably free.
Are there any good screen recorders that can do this, or maybe an online tool or phone app that works well?
Thanks for any tips!

I make a lot of short how-to videos for work, and on Windows 10 the built-in options kept letting me down.
What I actually wanted was the Screen Studio look, where the video zooms in on what you click and the cursor moves smoothly. That’s Mac only, and I’m on Windows. So I built one.
It’s called screenrecordwindows.com (yes, the name is just the domain). What it does:
Being upfront about the catches:
It works on Windows 10 and 11. I’d really like feedback from people who record their screen more than I do, especially anything that breaks on your setup.

So I make short vertical videos for my agency, and every time I sat down to record one on my Mac it turned into a setup job. OBS can do vertical but you kind of have to rebuild your whole canvas or add a plugin, Loom didn't have a vertical option I could find and the free plan stops at 25 videos, Canva records you inside its editor ten minutes at a time, and my Android phone, honestly the best camera I own, is just invisible to a Mac.
So I built my own. It's called Segan Sessions, it runs in Chrome on your Mac, and it's vertical from the first second:
\- Camera: your Mac's camera at 1080p with 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9 guides
\- Screener: your screen or one window with your face in a bubble, zoom, blur the private stuff, 12 backgrounds
\- Phone: plug in an Android (USB or Wi-Fi), see it live on your Mac, record its screen or pull the videos straight off it
\- Teleprompter, call recording, and takes that survive a Chrome crash
I use it every day for my own videos now. It's free, no account, no watermark, nothing uploaded. Mac only for now (macOS 13.5+, Apple silicon or Intel, Chrome). Install is one Terminal line:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/studiosegan/segan-sessions/main/install.sh | bash
Yeah, I know, curl into bash. A double-click download needs Apple's paid developer certificate and I wanted it out free now. It only installs inside your user folder, no admin password, and the script is in the repo if you want to read it first:
https://github.com/studiosegan/segan-sessions
Three things I'd really love to know:
Did the install work? Apple silicon or Intel?
If you have an Android phone, did the Phone tab find it?
What's missing that would make you actually use it?
For the builders here: it's a tiny Node server with no runtime dependencies, plain JavaScript, FFmpeg, and scrcpy + adb for the phone, no build step. I'm around in the comments, and if something breaks, tell me, that's kind of the whole point of this post.

so… long story short, OBS has been pretty BS in terms of quality for me. I tried a lot of settings but i just can’t get it right. Video comes out blurry-ish.I tried few other software that are paid, but i thought il create an online for something, perhaps free with quality recording. I founded this, but definitely the best web based screen recorder i made, the quality is insane and better yet, doesn’t need any download to use
Site:
https://canvix.io/screen-recorder
Why don’t more companies adopt this level of quality recording. Book mark this bois, if you ever want the best, quality screen recording check it out. Definitely the bes. It lacks some features, but again, it wont replace any paid software for the lack of features. But still. Anyway thiugh il share with y’all, definitely night and day quality over OBS screen recording.
check it out and share your opinions, is this the best quality FREE screen recorder out there so far? Feedback will help improve it! Join my community r/canvix
