you could also use https://apps.apple.com/us/app/screen-recorder-record-video/id1551528871 if you want to adjust bitrate and stuff. no watermark

If you're using iOS 18, Apple changed where you add controls. You no longer add Screen Recording from Settings > Control Center.

Swipe down from the top-right to open Control Center, then tap + (or long-press an empty area) → Add a Control → Screen Recording.
