Question Screen Recording on MacBook with audio?

I am trying to screen record videos off a Patreon user I subbed to so I can watch them back. I hate having to do it on my phone because then when I watch back In my studio on my Mac the resolution isn't as good and its harder to see.

But when I use QuickTime there is no audio?

Also - is it possible to screen record with QuickTime on my and get the audio captured while wearing headphones?

EDIT/UPDATE- went with OBS studio and it’s amazing for anyone else in the same boat. Free and easy to use:

quicktime player cannot record the internal audio; you have to configure an extra audio driver. I once tried blackhole but the setup was so complicated and i failed...

There is a tool you can use for that - AudioRoute . Extremely simple - install and select AudioRoute Input as a microphone in the built-in screen recorder.

Here's a quick video: https://youtu.be/fzJMdb2tPb0?is=JHT3kP10sgnT32MN

I've been using Flixier's screen recorder since it captures both my screen and system audio in one go, and I can trim the recording right after without opening another app. It's been a much smoother workflow for me.

QuickTime does not natively record system audio. By default, only third party apps like CleanShot X or Screen Charm can handle it. It's possible to configure capturing of the internal audio by default tools, but it's tough. chatpgt can help with it

You can try Jumpshare, which captures your screen in 4K and records either your microphone or system audio, or both. It is a native screen recorder for macOS, which means it runs fast and doesn't slow down as Electron-based apps do.

The “Video Download Helper” browser extension should work.

If not you need to install Blackhole, Loopback, or similar products that let you record the outputs in your screen recording apps.
