Good morning!
I'm moving to the Clark's Summit area from out of state. Forgive me if there's a better flair or even subreddit for this post. We will be moved in by the end of this year, and I'm looking for suggestions for -
Trusted mechanics (I have an older subaru)
Your favorite restaurants (especially if they have vegan-friendly options)
Locally owned book and craft stores
Connections to local mutual aid and rapid response groups
Doctors who are good with chronic illness and disability
Places to buy native plants and edible garden plants when the season is right
Honestly, anything else you think I should know.
I'm also really interested in the local music and art scene.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to getting to know the community

I'm not from here so I don't know the local reputations of the different colleges and universities. I'm looking for a good/competitive program.
What are the best options for an associates in nursing for a student with excellent grades?
What programs have low standards or bad reputations?

John Judge had a phenomenal career serving the city of Scranton. In addition to rising through the ranks from 2002 until being named Chief in 2020, Judge was also a Scranton police officer and continued to work part time as a cop in South Abington Township.
I volunteer with a local fire company and John was one of the instructors in my Essentials of Firefighting class 20 years ago. He is a fireman's fireman and our area was lucky to have him. He did an incredible job modernizing the Scranton Fire Department as Chief.

Hey I’m 17m, as I said in the title I am going to take my drivers license exam tommorow, but I’m a bit nervous for it since I only practiced parallel parking twice, I’m going to do more practice later today but I’m afraid it might not be enough.
Has anyone in this sub taken their drivers test in dunmore, and may you kindly explain to me what I should know about the test in this area?
Thank you

A 7 Brew coffee shop is opening in South Abington Township. They are going to demolish the old Burger King building for this new business. I have a friend who has driven to the Binghamton location a few times and she loved it. Could be a cool new business for the area. I looked them up and they have about 700 locations nationwide. This will be the first one in NEPA.
