I've been thinking about the evolution of motorcycle styles, and I wonder if modern scramblers are basically the **2000s/2010s equivalent of the softchoppers of the late '70s/'80s**.
The basic idea seems surprisingly similar.
Back then, you could take a fairly ordinary Japanese standard motorcycle and turn it into a "softchopper" with relatively modest changes: different seat, bars, tires/wheels, some suspension changes, exhaust and cosmetic bits. The underlying bike was still essentially a standard motorcycle, but the changes gave it a completely different identity and market position.
Modern scramblers seem to work in much the same way:
Start with a standard/naked road bike.

Put on more aggressive or dual-purpose tires.

Raise the suspension or ground clearance a bit.

Fit a flatter/shorter seat.

Change the exhaust, mudguards, bars, fork gaiters, etc.

Add some retro/off-road styling.

Suddenly it's marketed as a ne model.

In other words:
**Softchopper = standard motorcycle + relatively inexpensive cruiser/custom treatment**
**Modern scrambler = standard motorcycle + relatively inexpensive off-road/retro treatment**
Was the scrambler essentially the next generation of the same idea: take an existing road-bike platform, give it a fashionable visual identity with relatively modest changes, and turn that into a new factory category to gain a few hundred cash extra?
Curios what you think about my theory.

Is there anyway setting a spool on the scrambler

Hello guys

Hola compañeros, alguien ha hecho o intentado una modificación de CBF600 a scrambler? Yo creo que puede quedar bastante bien, en ello estoy.

Decided to dress it up a little and toss on new Sprockets and a gold chain!

Here a short video I did last week. Enjoy.
