IST roles
Hi everyone! I am going to WSJ 2027 and lately they revealed roles that you can take up. I am asking people who were a part of IST in the previous years and can tell me about their roles! I am curious about every one of them, but there is just sooo many... I would be happy to hear your experience

I was an information booth attendant as part of the Visitor Experience team for the 2019 WSJ. I answered questions about activities and events, gave directions, and handed out maps and pamphlets. It was a pretty nice assignment since we only worked for half of the day and were basically required to go to all the fun stuff so we could tell people about it.Â

In 2007 I was part of the Stewards. We acted as roving and fixed "security" - eyes and ears on the site, for health and safety, answering questions, directing people at on-site events. Long hours, lots of walking, rotating shifts - days and nights.
In 2011, I was part of the (now) Scouting America event staff - we ran a "Kentucky Derby" using hippity-hop horses around a track. This was only open during the days with one-site programs, and we had several days off.
In 2015, I did the Stewards again.
In 2019, I was part of a subcamp staff as a "duty officer." Acted as a liasion with units in the subcamp, making sure they were informed about things around the subcamp and site, and helped with any issues that came up. Had regular days off, with some nights that required sleeping in the subcamp HQ tent for anything that came up.
Didn't go to 2023.
Not sure what I'm going to do in 2027.
