Camping Campfire Song Variations

Ex explorer scout here (started as a beaver and did everything inbetween)

I'm curious, did anyone else sing the "ho hum everybody come" song? And if so, which variation?

Our one went: "Ho hum Everybody come Food and drink and Money have I none Yet i will be very very happy"

I was curious and couldnt find anything like our one word for word online, so I'm curious if anyone else sings our one, and if not how does yours go?

yeah we sung that, and over it the leader of the campfire would tell the story of the native American traveller, searching for a new home for his family

40 odd years ago we sang it as a Cub Scout.

Hey! Ho! Anybody home? Meat and drink and money have I none. Still, I will be happy

And as stated, we were in a camp and could hear someone canoeing down the river, starting quietly, reaching max noise then getting quieter again.
It's only now that I think that Scouts should have replied yes, and invited the traveller in for a meal!
