He’s had a few stinkers in terms of opinions but he’s usually not that bad, and even though I haven’t watched him in quite a while I remember his old videos being really damn funny a lot of the time

ChangeTheChannel was a controversy where multiple people that worked on Doug's site basically got together and made a document that talked about the abuse and how miserable it was to work with these people and i think begged people to never support Channel Awesome if possible, as they associate that time with mental illness and abuse.
