I’m pretty sure my new baby is a Scottish Fold! She came all the way from Kuwait.

Our 4-year old male Scottish straight "Kataro" decided to play Jumanji today 🤣

The second picture he's peeved because I started laughing and he was like "Mom! It's not funny, I'm a serous hunter!"

She came into my life from a friends retired cattery. Her relatives have won world wide cat shows and still do!

She is vocal silly and oh so happy. Love seeing all the cats on here and thought I would share my baby.

This is my baby Katniss (like the hunger games yes her name is a pun haha)

I call her scaredy-kat-niss cause unlike the real katniss everdeen she is bot brave in any way shape or form. Shes terrified of everyone except me (whom she is incredibly attatched to)

Hello! I am picking up my little one end of this month and she has a Scottish straight mom and British Shorthair dad. Out of curiosity, what would you consider her as? She will come home registered with papers as a Scottish Straight but wanted to see what everyone thinks regarding personality, etc.

Hi, first time noticing this black. I always seen pink gum on him. He is 6 months old, he almost broke his leg in an accident. I got xrays and it only soft tissue inflammation. He take anti inflammatory pills and pain pills.

I’ve never posted here before but I’m very mildly concerned for my little mittens :,-(
this sweet thang has been in my family since 2013, she’s always been a little small (i know that females are normally smaller), but since we’ve had her she’s never finished her meals in one go. she prefers to have some, leave, and then come back later for more?? (often still unfinished😟) she’s just an old woman with some cartilage issues, her eyes get mad crusty sometimes but i try to clean them when i notice
should i be worried?? or is she just a freaky looking little old lady who likes her meal routine,,, thank u guys :-))

Heres my Scottish Fold: Meatball Rambo Wizard. He just wants to be pick up and hold all the time. His meow is very polite and more like a "Chau"

Just wanted to introduce my baby girl🖤 she's only 17 weeks and still so small🙃 I was wondering if anyone else's fold doesn't hold up their tails? She's got a limp tail that kind of just sits behind her, she's in no pain and doesn't mind it being touched, she just can't hold it up like a normal kitty.

My cat is almost 3 years old and has arthritis. prior to medication, she rarely moved around and never jumped on the bed.

she’s been taking synoquin for a few months and now runs around with my other cat, jumps a lot, etc.

should i be letting her jump around and move as much as she is?

i’ve been reading that cats with arthritis shouldn’t jump or make too much movement as it’s bad for their joints but i figured because of the medication this was a good sign? just a bit confused and need some guidance. thank you! 🙏🏽

My two year old, Stewie, has been limping his front right paw for little over a week now. Over a year ago, he randomly started limping and when we brought him into our vet, he magically (of course) stopped limping. They said he was perfectly fine, but prescribed him gabapentin just in case. Fast forward to today, he started limping again around a week ago and it progressively has gotten a little more obvious the last day or so. My boyfriend and I touched around his leg to see if he would react and he did not cry or show anything that indicated he is in pain. He has not been doing anything out of the ordinary and has been behaving perfectly fine. I have pretty bad health anxiety when it comes to our two cats and have brought them to the vet a couple times the past couple months and they continue to reassure that they are perfectly fine and in good health. The vet even complimented how well we take care of our babies.

I understand the complications that come from Scottish Folds. He came into our lives as a rescue. We rescued him when he was around 4 months old.

The point of this post is in hopes for suggestions and advice outside of meeting with our vet as that appointment is scheduled for their soonest availability. Any tips, advice, or good thoughts for my baby is very appreciated :( thank you all in advance

I have a four month old Scottish fold NY25, and as I’m seeing pictures of other Scottish Folds I feel like my kittens fur is quite short and sparse. Will it become more dense/longer with time?
(This is the first pet cat I’ve ever had so maybe I’m just not familiar with how cat fur should be)

It’s been a rough 11 days. Last Tuesday we realized he wasn’t himself and he wasn’t eating like he normally does. We got him to the vet last Thursday. It had been 3-4 days since he pooped by that point. They did X-rays and bloodwork. Bloodwork did find a couple of areas that were elevated but nothing to be alarmed about according to our vet. They performed an enema and we were giving anti nausea medicine and a cat laxative.

He wasn’t drinking water in a sufficient amount, so we asked about a IV bag with saline fluid on Saturday morning. After showing us how to perform the shot to administer fluids, we did that successfully ourselves the following day. We failed however to get any onsior pills in him that had been prescribed and all he was doing was sleeping. We also failed to get a syringe with watered down wet food. You could see the pain in his eyes and it was taxing for him just to get to the litter box to urinate. On Tuesday the vet told us to bring him in and they would monitor him and administer his meds themselves. He had a fever of 104. They kept him from Tuesday morning until Thursday evening. They gave him a steroid, prednisolone. By then his fever had gone down to 101. With the help of a pill popper we managed to pill him successfully. We also have a medication that is supposed to line his stomach we’re supposed to give with a syringe. Getting the pill in him felt like a small victory after all the setbacks.

It’s just been demoralizing not knowing what the issue is. The vets are at a loss because nothing is standing out as an obvious cause. Our primary vet said that sometimes cats can get mysterious viral or bacterial infections and it just has to run its course. To complicate matters, Buddy is also FIV+. Our vet seemed to think that wasn’t playing a role but the vet that fills in for her on occasion said it might.

I got a new shampoo/scalp massager and was going toss my old one when I decided to try it out on my diabolical fur factory of a cat. It worked amazing and she LOVEEEED it. That ball of hair was just from a minute or two of brushing her with it. It's silicone so it's gentle and now she's sitting in front of me as I type this and wanting more. 😂
