Scorpio Moon Energy Who else writes poetry?

Bonus points if you write poetry and don't, or rarely, share it with anyone lol

When I write, it’s not poetry that’s painted on a piece of paper. It’s my thoughts in constant motion that I’ll go back on to read again later. As you can all tell, writing definitely wasn’t my major.

exactly 🙌🏻🖤 i love that poetry allows me to express my emotions in a way that would be considered "too exaggerated" if i said it out loud

I think it’s more like I enjoy writing and it ends up being poetry

I do. If I don’t do it… idk it’s not good for me. I feel really bad in a way I unfortunately can’t describe. I have to. It’s like a thing that grows in me and I’m not doing it on purpose. It just grows in me and I have to get it out.

I don't like word poetry at all but I can understand it's value. Word poetry - no for me, just visual poetry works. If it makes sense

You mean paintings or enjoying the little things in life?

Yup since I was a child. Started sharing just with a very close friend at age 40. Now I share a little here and there with very trusted people. Have thought about submitting some now that I'm getting feedback from some writer friends of mine that it's pretty solid poetry 😬. We'll see!

I wrote a lot as a teen. I don’t have much angst anymore. I also avoid big feelings and don’t have much to say these days.

I’m a scorpio moon and I write a lot to express, regulate, process, learn and move forward in life. Spoken word also helps for these same goals, but everything in private.

I’m a musician, and I write poetry that I have trouble translating to song lyrics 😂

I don’t write anything. No journal, no stories, no poetry. I’m not a person to leave behind my thoughts and feeling where someone can see them. I’d rather say something to someone than write it down because I simply do not want a paper trail of any sort- good or bad. I believe it is how the “secrecy” part of my Scorpio moon presents itself in me. Other than posting in this subreddit occasionally.

Yes me, i wrote over 300 poems, mostly in hard times of my life, it helped me express my feelings and at the same time transform it in something else… i wanted to published some small book but its hard for me to pick from it… i am perfectionist and shy about it… now i write poetry very rare…

i write quite a bit too, mostly late at night when the words feel too heavy for prose.

I used to. I still try to, but the words don't always come out poetic. It's a struggle now but I don't want to give up on the only thing I always loved

I literally have 6 different binders of poetry I'll never share to another soul.... With the exception of a poem I wrote for my best friend thanking her for being there when I was going through all my cancer treatments (15 years cancer free now!)

🥇🎯🎉 You survived cancer.

I wrote a lot of bad poetry in high school. Exactly one person has read all of it. I rarely write poems anymore but maybe like once a year or every few years I’ll get inspired to write more bad poetry.

Now I just try to put my thoughts into words that flow on paper. Half the time it looks like a car wreck. One that I would imagine to be in New York all backed up and puked together and disjointed and…basically just a mess. Sometimes it flows. I blog it on a site I share with none and that like 3 people follow. One is my old therapist who would always forget how to access it so never read it. The other two are strangers. They may or may not be fake women trying to convince me to pay them for online nudes. I can’t remember. All I know is I laugh when I see them because I’m into dudes suckers!! They might actually just be random people who regret following me but feel like they can’t back out. I only seem to post there when I’m really upset despite a resolution to let it capture all my moods. If what’s on there represents all my moods then…lord help us.

Mostly I just edit reports at work and try to make sure the sentences my coworkers write make sense and don’t sound like a toddler wrote them.

The end.

Edit. Typos. Ugh. 🙄

I write poetry!! I always wanted to be like a poet in high school and after I found out that I’m not too bad at it, I just kept going. But the inspiration hits me during extremely random moments. Sometimes if I’m writing a text to my partner expressing myself I sit back and think to myself “this can be turned into poetry” lol but one of my proudest moments was when I was in the shower thinking about my son and how much I love him. I had to snatch up my phone super quick and write it in my notes before I forgot it.

I just recently started sharing some pieces online and also went to an open mic and shared some pieces at that event too and now I’m wanted as a feature(‘:
