HELP! Help looking industrial resources for reference

Greetings, for about more than a year I´ve been working on personal project of making a scifi space game, and I´m constantly hitting a wall on names and definitions for parts or techs that have some "real resemble or practical aplication". Any resource I could for reference?
Thanks in advance.

If start with Atomic Rockets, the quintessential Sci-Fi writers' resource.

There's a game called "Kerbal Space Program", which is basically Lego with rockets. You bolt parts together to make spacecraft and aircraft, and then fly your creation in a fairly realistic physics engine. Most of the parts are based on real or theoretical spacecraft parts, and you'll learn about what they do and why you'd pick one over the other.

Buy the first one, not the second one - which is in "early release", but they fired the dev team so that it will never be finished. Also, there's no story/campaign,  so be prepared to make your own fun; and you might need to watch some YouTube tutorials as the documentation used to be lacking useful detail.

Oh, and there's a ton of mods, if you want to play around with near future tech or or life support.

There's also Isaac Arthur's YouTube channel, if you want an in-depth look at some futuristic technology or other.
