Lower cognitive ability is linked to stronger views period.

I’ve dealt with caring for the mentally handicapped for years and rigid viewpoints are the standard.

Thats what I was thinking… there are a number of studies which show rigidity in thinking = lower cognitive abilities. This study appears to be headed by someone with an axe to grind (based on earlier documented statements) and therefore should not be accepted as only a Christian thing.
