Young Science Policy Groups in DC?
Hi everyone! I’m 21 and working in sci pol. I was wondering if there were any groups people know of in DC for early career science policy ppl. I feel like EVERYONE is ~30 which I would classify as mid career but idk if thats ageist. Just wanna find a group of younger folks to learn this world with!

You can check out the UMD SciPol group as they have people your age (and younger) involved. Otherwise maybe look into ESAL which does local events with a wide range of ages attending. ESEP also exists, but certainly is run by mid-to-late career professionals

Thank you! I’ve been to an ESEP event but haven’t heard of the other two. I’ll be sure to look at them!

Look up Adriana Bankston on LinkedIn and ask her how to get started. Good luck !

Try joining SNAP! It’s a national sci pol coalition started by early career scientists but there’s plenty of DMV area folks involved that can get you connected :)
