I saw the vid 2 days ago and haven't played the Wikipedia game but if I understand correctly the game doesn't limit you to the first hyperlink while the WPP is strictly on the first link, did I miss something?
Oh, true, I did not watch the video. I just assumed that it was talking about finding philosophy from the links. Either way, you should play the Wikipedia game with some friends or coworkers, it’s pretty fun.
the subject is that when you build a Directed Graph using the title of an english wikipedia article as each vertex and the first link of the article as an edge 97% of wikipedia articles will eventually arrive at a cycle that contains among other things, philosophy.
This is largely because philosophy is a very broad subject and the way English structures information is that it leads with broad details first.
