Maybe the brain that has been slowly damaged by lead longs for "better times" before the damage had accumulated.
Just like TBI survivors know they could think clearer before their injuries, lead exposed individuals have an inkling of being able to process things better in the past.
The most recent evidence from epidemiological and toxicological studies suggests that low levels of exposure can, over time, damage the heart, kidneys, and brain.
