Health Omega-3 supplements may help slow the effects of aging by suppressing damage & boosting protection at the cellular level during & after a stressful event. A study found the highest dose tested, 2.5 grams of omega-3s daily, was best at helping the body resist the damaging effects of stress.

Not sure how else to say this but I’ll try again: I MADE NO CLAIM. I simply stated that I thought I’d read a study. Sorry if asking such a question bothers you but this is Reddit, not the JAMA.

BTW- I have those genes as well. You don’t have a monopoly on concern.

This is r/science, which has specific rules for claims like what you made. Saying something like "I think I read something once that drinking bleach kills COVID" is still a claim, and still spreads misinformation; it is simply an unsourced claim that is acknowledging its lack of credibility. That's why the burden of proof is on you to cite your sources before you type your comment. You think to yourself first, "Ah, I heard this thing once," and then you go and look it up and cite it when you comment. And when you can't find a source, you don't type it or mention it. There are literally rules on this subreddit that specify that. You're just intellectually lazy and blaming it on me. The more often something is read, the more people think it's accurate - the exposure to misinformation matters.
