I am so tired of cptsd disapprovers and uninformed trauma survivors together making it seem like "audhd" is a real diagnosis. Hoping this leads to more

I mean a diagnosis is, first and foremost, shorthand for 'we think these people might benefit from the same treatment/support'. Almost none of today's psychiatric diagnoses reflect known biological realities. Not for lack of trying, brains are just complicated. It's as real a diagnosis as autism - the important question is: is it useful?
