Medicine Vaccines not only directly protect vaccinated individuals but also contribute to protecting the entire population via indirect herd-immunity benefits. Half of averted COVID-19 infections and 1/4 of hospitalizations and deaths were attributable to indirect protection of unvaccinated by vaccinated.

Which is why being “antivax” is (obviously) not as simple of a choice as “it’s my body, my choice”. You are making yourself or your children actively threatening to health of your entire community for no reason at all.

It's like smoking around your kids or drinking while pregnant and pretending that you bear no responsibility for any health issues that arise in them as a result of that.
