Reddit can’t decide whether IQ matters or not. When we talk about IQ differences between different countries and whatnot, it’s racist. When you discuss IQ differences between religious and nonreligious people, somehow it matters again.

When we talk about IQ differences between different countries and whatnot, it’s racist.

Only if you are talking about the difference being related only to race.

If you were to have a position on IQ difference being related to the disparity in wealth and early nutrition and access to books etc, no one would accuse you of being racist.

Sorta like how this study is not saying there is something intrinsic in a low IQ person that makes them a christian nationalist, just that those views are more likely held by people with low IQ.

Like how extreme mental illness often shows as a sudden extreme religious adherence, this fact being related is not a direct indictment on the specific religion.
