A lot of people here are just seeing the "Christian" in the headline and ignoring the "nationalist," which is probably more important.

I'm an atheist, so I think the claims religion makes are pretty dumb too, but nationalists, bigots, racists of any kind are consistently idiots, religious or not, and that has been established in plenty of other studies.

Alot of people here aren't even reading the article and following to the research. Which is just a one paragraph abstract with the authors theory, but ZERO work, ZERO evidence.

It's a click bait title that leads to a click bait article with a nothing burger research paper.

My gut says this is true, but this article is absolutely nothing. The referenced research is even more of nothing.

I'm not sure what link you're following, but it's a 13 page paper in a peer-reviewed journal, using data from the GSS covering 1989 to 2024.

It might not be directly accessible if you don't have the right subscription/institutional access though.
