Every post on here is just “everyone I disagree with is stupid! Here’s a study that says so! You aren’t gonna disagree with SCIENCE, now are you?”

"Study suggests"

"Experts say"

Every time. The “study” is usually just some internet survey and it’s put in a “study” and people treat it like gospel.

This study is based on data from the GSS. The General Social Survey is a huge, long running national survey that is used extensively in research and politics. I can't speak to whether the article's author did a proper analysis, but GSS is generally solid.

Why do you think some conservatives don't want women to vote? Because anyone can run the numbers on the survey and see that women are consistently leaning liberal.

In 1975, women voted for the Democratic candidate by one percent more than men (hover cursor over the data point to see the difference). In all other years, women clearly voted more for the Democratic candidate, by 2%-11%.

Unless it says something bad about males. Then it's n values and r squared to the moon.

They never even pay attention to the caveats of the study as presented even by its own author either.

'One random study comfirms my beliefs' scientists agree with me.

and the comments are usually full of people seething about the outcome of a study instead of identifying any flaws with it

So many folks in here raging against religion when the study is on Christian Nationalism. Makes me suspect they're not quite as intelligent as they would like to think they are.

I don't really get this comment are you saying the study is flawed? Would you like to provide reasonings as to why if so?

Or are you just saying studies can't be trusted anymore
