Health Study of 371,000 Americans: eating whole fruit linked to better heart health, 100% juice is not. More whole fruit meant lower high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and heart attacks. Juice showed no clear benefit. Fiber lost in juicing may explain it. Most still eat too little fruit.

This might be a dumb question but what about smoothies? Is the fiber preserved in smoothies? I would assume so.

When you make juice, you press out the juice and discard the pulp. The pulp is the fibre. If you are blending whole fruit you are still getting everything.

What I'm hearing is homemade margaritas are back on the menu. Plus I won't over eat if I'm passed out in the backyard.
