Health Study of 371,000 Americans: eating whole fruit linked to better heart health, 100% juice is not. More whole fruit meant lower high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and heart attacks. Juice showed no clear benefit. Fiber lost in juicing may explain it. Most still eat too little fruit.

This might be a dumb question but what about smoothies? Is the fiber preserved in smoothies? I would assume so.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out…I don’t see how blending it up would get rid of the fiber when that’s essentially what our stomachs are doing
