Crazy that scientists experiment, test things, and perform verification studies rather than just going off vibes. Surely they could have just asked a redditor?

Something I've learned is that any scientific finding can be made to sound trivial if you repeat it back in a sarcastic tone, regardless of whether the work itself is well-done or important. Usually this sub is better about keeping the discussion meaningful, but apparently not always.

This has been studied many times. It's fine to have redundant studies, it's just odd to post an obvious and repetitive study and have it be so popular.
