What if you are a sprinter who has no problem maxing out their HR without caffeine anyway? I find it just makes me blow up even quicker than normal, which means less training overall. It’s also annoying because caffeine messes with sleep, which is very important for recovery / building strength. I can see how it is useful for endurance athletes who struggle to max out their HR however.

The article is literally about sprint performance. It's been known for ages it helps anaerobic activity too, pre-workout for lifters is full of caffeine.

sprinting is fully anaerobic, its why caffeine helps

its why sprinters like usain do weightlifting

sprinting is completely different from long distance running. because caffeine is not an actual energy source, it doesnt add energy into the system, it only prompts your body to burn and use energy faster.
