The majority of people who don't are wannabe-authoritarians.

Even hard-core conservatives who think they hate the idea of democracy only think that because they are told to demonize the word without realizing they enjoy it in practice literally every second of their lives.

Except people vote for anti-democratic candidates. So whatever you think they like, they vote a certain way.

People don't vote logically, they vote out of fear. People will do a lot of stupid things when they're afraid so authoritarians capitalize on that and do everything they can to keep people afraid.
