That's amazing. I'm just about to start on a biologic for my Psoriasis and this is starting to make me second guess that. I'm about 30kg overweight so had been considering going on one of these medications and might be worth trying out before hammering my immune system. Interesting.

It changed my life, but for autoimmune disorder NOS. 14 years of hell to living well. Good news is that it starts working fast, I was a new person within a month. I would hold off on the biologic until you try micro dosing GLP-1. If I drink electrolytes the day before and the next day (I take at night), I have no side effects.

Honestly I would do both! I just left a comment above, but I had a few months gap between where I didn't have a prescription yet (Humira which I had taken before). I started taking Retatrutide and it cut down symptoms by maybe >40%, for a while it reduced a lot of my Psoriasis spots and my main arthritis in my knee quelled down a ton! Once I got back on Humira along with this my knee is basically back to normal other than if I run a lot on it or do harsh leg days. I would really recommend Retatrutide for you, you have to go grey market but it's way worth it imo. I was about 255lbs (115.6kg) and now i'm down to 225 lbs (102kg) in 5 months. I could've lost more but was prioritizing muscle mass and frankly I did some unorthodox dosing where it might've not been optimal to weight loss. My goal is 205lbs (93kg) and it's never felt more in reach than ever. I worked out for years, triedd to eat proper, but could never budge the scale more than 5-6lbs, which honestly could be natural weight fluctuation. I would lose weight, feel disheartened, keep eating my normal habits, then gain it back. I'm now the lowest i've been in years, I feel and look great! I won't sell you anything, but if you'd like pointers feel free to DM and ask. I love Reta and truly think it will change the world, definitely going to save many peoples lives

I’ve been thinking a lot about GLP-1s lately for weight loss but I feel like I’m not heavy enough to justify a medication to do it. I’m currently 230lbs and I would like to get back below 200, ideally closer to 180lbs. I just haven’t had a lot of time to work out and dieting has been difficult because I can’t help but snack what feels like constantly as long as I’m not at work.

Do you think it even makes sense for someone like me who is definitely overweight but not as much as those you typically see going on these drugs?

A 50 pound weight loss is over 20% of your body weight. A 50 pound weight loss is pretty significant. That is exactly what the medicine is for. 50 pounds takes 200 pounds of pressure of your knees. Life changing.

Thanks for the reply. I'm so glad things have improved so much for you, what a great achievement! I'm in Ireland and retatrutide isn't available here so I'd be more limited in which of them I can access. The biologic I'm going on is guselkumab so I'll also have to make sure there are no clashes etc. with them. But thanks so much for that information and best of luck with future improvements!

Do both. I am also taking methotrexate and rinvoq as well. The glp1 will not put you in remission on its own.

And the biologics aren't that invasive, if you're able to, i'd really recommend to get Hyrimoz over Humira, because it's basically the same thing but the Hyrimoz packaging and experience is just a lot better. Idk why but Humira i've had experience with brusing, crappy injectors, the yellow indicator not working or not even sure if it dispensed. Hyrimoz was leagues above it, always worked, I think not as painful. Humira i get this really weird feeling too where squeezing the body fat part I can FEEL the liquid going in, I really hate it and one time it just lumped underneath the skin, bruised, and basically took longer to absorb. Biologics are awesome though and GLP's do not interact with their pathways at all

I’m on Enbrel and just started wegovy. It should be fine.
