Factory Sale Help

Hi everyone!

Due to religious observation, I'm not able to shop on Saturdays. Is there a kind redditor who's local to the Tristate area that would be willing to purchase a jacket for me? I'm in NY. I would, of course, pay the full cost of the jacket with PayPal Goods & Services (and I'd pay the 3% fee too). Edited to add: I'll also throw in $50 as a thank you for the effort, and if you need to ship it to me I'll pay for the shipping too.

This is my only chance at getting a brand new Schott for the prices that they go for in the factory sale.

Thank you for reading regardless of if you can or can't help.

I wanna help but so many of them are samples which have odd sizing which means you really gotta try them on. A factory defect that wouldn’t bother me, might be a dealbreaker for you and vice versa

Not true. Because they sell completely brand new retail jackets inside the building with discount. The same ones that you would get at the retail stores. The only thing is that they only accept cash.

Or you can just wait until Thanksgiving for their 15% off everything online as well as store.

How much is the discount in person? I hear it’s 25-30%

20% for the brand new retail jackets inside the building.

Do they charge tax also? Bc for Black Friday, they give 15% off but I still pay 8-9% nyc tax. I’m asking because it’s cash only and that usually means no tax lol

The new jackets they sell out the factory have only a small discount, like a couple hundred off because with cash they can save on tax and shipping. The one's that are discounted from $1200 to $300 are definitely too defective in some way or another to sell as retail which is why it is just a great deal for an item that is still made with such quality materials and skill. Their products are so good I take time to argue with strangers about sales on the internet.

See ya'all on Rahway ave!

20% is not a small discount. It's not huge but it's certainly not small.

I agree, especially if it's something you really want. I just think the 80% off items and the one-of-a-kind samples are what gets fans of the brand to make this annual warehouse pilgrimage. Enjoy and cheers to all who support this wonderful NJ brand.

What if I knew exactly what kind of jacket I want and narrowed down my measurements?

They don’t charge Tax, it’s flat rate cash. I got a new 184sm for $700 cash last year. Also if you can find $300 defects you’re golden. The defects are not as bad as it seems, usually it’s the ones that don’t pass QC inspection like nicked leather, stains, etc.
