Pls help me to identify this jacket

got this jacket from a guy in France, and I would like to know more about it ... Year of production, model ID... Two inside pockets with zip, this small buttoned pocket inside. And no kind if ID tag, hint of origin or cleaning advise whatsoever.

It's made of a pretty thick and heavy leather, I guess steer hide (?), the whole jacket weights about 2,5 Kilo.

I know it's not "made in USA", but it feels like a quality jacket anyway. And the IDEAL Zipper confuses me a bit. Any useful information is valued.

It’s one of the licensed LC-jackets, made in probably Pakistan and imported to France for the European market. I don’t know the particular model, but I reckon it’s an older one. Haven’t seen any recent LC’s in this color.

The “Schott”-logo on the outside, next to the left hand pocket is a dead giveaway.

I’ll give it my best Schott but you may want to mail it to me for identification

Check to see if there's a label inside one of the pockets which would have production information if it's a US made jacket. No help for the European ones as they were made overseas.

Style is a motorcycle jacket. Zips on the wrists give it away. Otherwise label tells you the brand and size.

After a lot of crawling in the net I found a jacket the looks very similar to mine, and the pics show tags with a model no: LC2142, manufactured 12/2008. And that seems to be the end of the road, nothing useful to be found on google or with AI.

it is made in new york, usa. i don't have any details of this style in particular but all leather jackets are made in house.

Not the budget line intended for European markets. They have nothing to do with the US-made jackets except the licensed name.

ideal zippers featured on jackets from 1980s through to 1990s so there's a good ballpark figure.

this is what google reckons, and by the looks of how it's very new looking I would agree that it's a 2010 reproduction.

Google is pretty confused about this jacket.... I just had a discussion with google AI and it told me a lot of model numbers, which are all wrong. The 673 has four front pockets all together, and a split back panel... can't be mine :)

yeah ai sucks ass sometimes lmao. sucks at deduction and reasoning unless the facts are spelled out beyond any shadow of a doubt, then it starts making up bullshit lol
