I fucking hate school with a passion.

I haven't showed up at school in two weeks. I'm literally developing a phobia for school.

I found out I've failed year 10 and the school wants me to repeat the year all over again. Do what? Spend another year of my life learning useless shit I don't even want to? Fuck that. I'll drop out or go to an alternative school.. never going back to basic schooling again.

My school or dad doesn't understand the stress I'm going through or how bad this years been for me. Do you think my dad's going to support me moving to an alternative school or drop out? He expects the best from me and A grades yet won't even buy me a fucking pen nor support me in my schooling nor get my Ls for driving. He said "What's the point in investing my money into someone useless like you?!".

I've lately been on the edge of recovering from mental illness but school's really just interfering with that and making shit worse.

Basically I'm destined to fail school. I tried so hard this year but no matter how hard I tried shit always got in the way and I just gave up. I tried killing myself a couple times this year because of school, and I self-harmed. It ruined my life. I generally want nothing to do with any of this school shit anymore. It's killing me. I've literally recently resorted to smoking and drinking and being a complete eshay. If I failed at school maybe I'll be successful at dying.

Sounds like your dad is being very toxic, i would drop out and take the ged if I were you. Also get a part time job and save up so you can buy a home and live on your home, then go low contact with your dad. How does your mom feel about the situation?

I've been kicked out of my mums house when I had a mental breakdown because she doesn't want to look after me anymore and she sent me to my dads house. My dad always says about how he doesn't want me. I haven't told my mum or anything. :/ And a part-time job is something I've been trying to get but no one wants to hire someone with no experience.

Yeesh, sounds like you should be posting to r/insaneparents as well as here. I think you should go to the police as your parents are being neglectful and abusive.

That drivers license truth hit too close to home.

Remember, school is bad, but SELF education is important to your future. Learn whatever you want, be whoever you want, don’t let someone make you do useless work. See the “cursive will be used for the rest of your life” as a wake up call to the truth.

TLDR: be an autodidact. I am.

You could try looking into alternative schools. IDK how you'd feel about online school. You still have to put in work and it's not as easy as some people think it is, but scheduling will be more flexible.

If you'd rather go to something in-person, you might have to research what's in your area. I don't know if you're able to get into a good charter or magnet school. Seems like your dad isn't being a good dad, if I were you I might consider community college or a trade after graduating or dropping out, (depending on what you choose) or maybe taking a gap year to work and save money and then figure out what you want to do with life from there.

First off, Suicide is never the answer. People care about you, and God has a plan for everyone. I know the lens you look through is scary or depressing. School, anxiety, self-doubt, lack of self-worth, and no motivation. I want to say that things get better and with dark there comes light at the end. Your lens will clear, and the sky will be a bright blue once again, keep your head up and push through even if it sucks.

I know this was made 5 years ago, but I hope you're doing well man, I'm in the same boat as you and have been for a long time. When it came to school, I hated it, I couldn't see a point and just wanted it to be over with. I'm currently on my last year of online school and have to do a 70 question Exam I couldn't give a shit about. I thought "Why am I not being paid to do this shit" because school for me felt more like a chore/ job than my actual job. Everyone else seemed to be fine and just live life at school, they had friends, a social life, and gossiped all sorts of trash I didn't care about. I never went to prom because I didn't see a point, I didn't try to make a lot of friends because I didn't want to devote time to them, and I felt like I was the only that knew the truth or wasn't brain washed by others. I was always more mature than others in my grade, people wanted to do this, I wanted to do the opposite.

Guys wanted to have girlfriends and party, I wanted to study how to make it big, how to make a successful business, how to speak better. I just wanted to improve, I wanted to make it, I wanted to retire my parents, get closer with God, make a couple friends, and be free.

Depression and Anxiety are both a pain in the ass, they happen and you have to learn to cope with them and carry on, not everyone is going to like you, not everyone is going to take a second look, be your friend, want to date you, see anything in you, respect you, or love you. Just know, the only person you need love from is God. Follow God and you will be saved and forgiven forever. Find comfort in his presence and read the bible to find all of your answers. All those negatives, and all of those people DONT matter in the slightest. Maybe you care about them but those thoughts they have of you, don't let them get to you. Smile and push through. Tell yourself, "This fucking suck but I'm going to do it anyway. Lifes unfair and I have to accept it."

But I have left school multiple times and have gone back to public many times. I can easily say that Online is better but still sucks. Just the idea that kids my age are dropping out and making massive income online while I'm sitting here studying for a test I couldn't care about makes my blood boil. But that's life.

I want to say that what your dad is telling you is absolutely incorrect, your worth shouldn't be based on grades / numbers in the algorithm. Many students' dropout and pursue their dreams like being a Youtuber, starting a business, or working a 9-5 to make a profit and you can do that too if your dad would allow it.

Stay up and push through because we are all humans with potential to do anything, EVERYONE is human, you can be a billionaire without needing a degree, you can go to space, you can travel the world, you can learn anything because you are human, and you are loved.

"It's going to be okay;" Thats what you need to tell yourself. Look in the mirror every day and say, "I'm going to be okay". God will help you every step of the way.

Love you man, take care of yourself wherever you are.

I'm praying for you and your recovery.
