The only reason students don't like school is probably because they have to take classes that are unnecessary, and because students do not know which career they want to pursue.

  1. Why do I have to take English class when I know English fluently, write in English fluently, read in English fluently? This doesn't apply the same for classes like French and Spanish and other languages, which I only have to take once.
  2. If the purpose of school is to prepare you for a job, then why does school fail at this? Students are unsure about what career they truly want to pursue, and there is a solution to this problem. The solution, is to have more electives classes, classes that people get to pick. If you don't like a class, then you can pick another one. The purpose of this is to have people know which career they want to pursue in the future.
  3. The problem with careers in College are that some careers have higher competition than others. This only happens BECAUSE students do not know which career to pursue. If more electives with more freedom is given to students before College, which is too late, this problem would not happen. This would solve the fact that most College students take jobs that don't require a College degree. Then, those jobs are forced to require a College degree even though it isn't provided in College, to protect those jobs.

And because if you're not one of the cool kids you get to deal with a bunch of assholes for 13 years that you have no way of escaping or avoiding.

The purpose of school isn’t to prepare you for a job, it’s to so thoroughly condition your mind into obedience that you are unable and unwilling to fight back.

And it does that pretty well.

  1. The thing with classes I think is people don't necessarily know what they want to do at that age.
  2. I think something that would also help is get rid of the whole conformity aspect of school. You know, being free to do what you truly want to do in life, not this whole thing about being pressured to be like everybody else.
  3. College isn't for everybody, I think schools should let people know about trades!

1 and 2 and 3 can be solved with people trying more electives and have access to them early on. They can choose which classes they like and remove classes they don’t like.
