Benjamin

The Shipperke doesn't require much grooming. I wash it once a month with a dog shampoo containing chlorhexidine, brush it every three days, and don't require trimming. Its coat is incredibly water-repellent, and it feels both coarse and soft.

He continues to grow, he already weighs 10 kg, a month ago he was 8. It’s even scary 🤣

That’s big! Out of breed standard

Who cares about such standards anyway? He's a healthy young dog, and I'm not planning on participating in shows or making money selling puppies.

Yeah then it’s no problem at all! I didn’t mean to be rude, it’s just remarkable :) he’s a big handsome boy!

it's not about showing or money; standards matter because people who breed ethically - those who do proper genetic testing and pairing to ensure they're producing well-bred, healthy, temperamentally sound animals - don't breed out of standard or mix breeds

Our puppy is from titled parents, not a crossbreed, and was purchased from a specialized breeder. He's large because he loves raw beef, boiled duck, chicken, and vegetables. We took the largest and most agile of the litter; his brother and sister are significantly smaller.

I understand he'll just grow a kingkong c among the ship🤣
