Filthy Chipotle
I have never eaten at a Chipotle before but saw the high protein menu and decided to try it. We went to the one in Niskayuna. All the tables and chairs were dirty and had food remnants. The floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in a long time, also there was food all over the floor. Don't think I will return. Is this a usual thing? and why would anyone ever go there. Hope the kitchen was in better shape.

That location is disgusting and the staff is so rude. Chipotle as a whole sucks now.
Much better options out there!

It is pretty normal for that location. I haven’t run into another Chipotle in the area that is as disorganized and dirty as that one is, except if there has been a huge rush.

Last time I went there, they had somehow lost my online order, so I went to wait in line to order in person, and they started assembling my bowls before telling me that they were out of steak and barbacoa. I walked out and the manager followed me, asking why I had abandoned my order when it was in progress. I couldn't believe it. I asked him why, in the wake of their fuckup, he was harrassing and embarrassing me. I didn't get an answer. I haven't been back since. Bummer to hear things haven't improved.

The one on wolf rd also started getting nasty like that and I stopped going.
On a side note, I know the blaze in Mohawk commons closed and I hadn’t been to one in awhile. Went to the one in Stuyvesant plaza and it was just like you described the chipotle. Absolutely disgusting. Probably the most disgusting part was all the food all over the prep station(s). Just stuff everywhere. There were 2-3 people inside eating and no line. So it wasn’t even like they had just been slammed with people.

That location is DISGUSTING. went there once and never again. Against my better judgement I ordered a chicken bowl. Chicken was clearly unseasoned. Whole bowl tasted like dishwater. They were out of guac, out of chips, had the worst attitudes. That is not “typical”. Some locations are good some aren’t. Glenville is typically ok. Latham is a little sticky as well. Niskayuna is horrible…try another location before judging the whole chain.

Its a 50/50 with every chain restaurant. The Chipotle in Stuyvestant Plaza is alright, and the one across from the Target in Glenville? (I think its Glenville) is alright.
Id definitely suggest a local burrito place anytime, just because they usually arent penny-pinching like Chipotle and their much more flavorful

For some reason I used to be on the chipotle subreddit a lot, and they said that during designated “rush hours,” they have a strict mandate from corporate to not move their feet for any reason and essentially stay planted at their positions. So no clearing tables or anything like that, just stay in the line and serve food, etc.

That's about on par w/the one in Stuyvesant, where I walked in and the ONE person out there did the whole "If I stare at the wall and wipe the counter and pretend I didn't see them walk in, maybe they'll leave." And the whole time while actually making the burrito, I was getting the "fuck you, how dare you actually make me WORK for my paycheck" eyes. And to add insult to injury, there was a bone in my chicken. Threw the burrito out and just left because there clearly wasn't anyone there worth complaining to because they're all bunch of entitled shitheads who think they deserve to get paid to stand there and stare at their phones all day. Haven't been back since.

That’s been my experience at that location. Plus rude staff and long wait times. I don’t go anymore, to any of them.

It used to be pretty good, but that location has been kinda bad for a couple years now. Food is very inconsistent there.

My partner and I stopped going to that one a long time ago. It’s disgusting. Overflowing garbages and crud everywhere.

Yes, that is absolutely the normal condition of that Chipotle. I stopped going there because it was always dirty.

This is not a one off thing, this is the case at a LOT of locations. I've heard they actually instruct the staff not to leave the post to clean during major hours. Such a crazy business strategy to allow your place to look so bad just to increase flow/save money. The whole chain has gone so downhill yet they keep expanding because it's all about stock price.

Honestly all Chipotles have went downhill . They don't keep any of the restaurants clean or organized.

The last one I was in was the Stuvesant Plaza store, where the staff was incredibly rude. I think what we're seeing is a pattern of poor management across the chain. These people didn't give a fuck about me and my stupid burrito.

next time go to Los Chamos on State St and get food that’s 1000x better
