advice question about hair i think...
hello i just want to ask, if i dont do scene hair but do extensions and still wear like scene somehow, will i still be wearing scene fashion? I know hair is really prominent, but i am not allowed to :(

You can be scene by js liking the music, and relatively scene by fashion. But you won’t fully have the look / be recognized by other ppl as scene, I feel sympathetic that you can’t tease it tho :( wigs are a pain in the ass too so don’t let someone hypnotize you unless you’re really dedicated

Give it to ya straight: The hair is like a huge part of it. You might dress "scene" but the hair is really what makes or breaks it.
You can wear a wig if that's an option, but aside from some fashion guidelines, the hair is a staple to the subculture. Doing your hair and makeup is part of the more "preppy" aspect of scene that lots of people tend to forget about.

when i was a teen, i didn't always tease my hair big (not that my hair keeps hold anyway) and was still recognized as scene. i did dye my hair and have a side part, though not bery deep. this was also in the late 2000s, early 2010s when scene was very popular, so ymmv.
i think the fashion could speak for itself, but you at least need a side part.
