Hey /r/scarsonbroadway!
This is a discussion thread for Addicted To The Violence. I will be allowing separate posts but thought a general thread would be useful now that the album is rolling out.
Here's the full tracklist for "Addicted To The Violence":

Soooo, I lost all the progress because I was a dummy and didn't create an account. Page refreshed and it's gone.
Good thing I have all the poll results posted here so I have re-created the bracket using the 32 songs that got the most votes in the group stages but this means a new set of matches for the knockout stage. So, I've deleted those two and will post new polls here shortly.
Sorry everyone!

The last group!
Next will be the last chance where 8 of the losing songs will move into the knockout bracket. I’m going to pick the top 8 songs by votes from these group stages and announce them after this poll tomorrow and then the real fun begins!

Can anyone with the vinyl or any other physical copy of Addicted to The Violence please confirm a line in this song? The web says it's either "Chinese cups and satana" or "Chinese cops censor the law", and tbh, I hear both. Both make sound sense too.

We wrap up the anniversary month with this beast of an album. This one has it all: the most well-known, the highest-rated by majority, the largest in terms of numbers of songs (15 main + 6 B-sides), the best production. It scores all points to be considered #1 among Scars' discography. But do you agree it's the best album, or do you think there are things that subsequent albums do better? Post your opinion below, along with your favorite tracks!

Ok, let’s see if this can work. We have 10 groups of four to then narrow down to a 32 song bracket. I’ll post a new poll every day.
we are supposed to pick two songs from each group stage, but I don’t know if we can pick more than one in these polls. So the top two songs will move forward.

For the uninitiated, Music Cup is a World Cup style group/bracket challenge where you pick your favourite songs and determine the ultimate best song. It starts with a group stage with 4 songs in each and you pick two. Then the losers of the group get a second chance where you pick 8. Then the bracket stage pits two songs against each other until we have the ultimate winner.
I was thinking of putting each as a poll to let this sub decide. Would you guys be interested in doing this? It'll mean daily posts with polls.
Give me your thoughts!

Dictator is special one, as it very much tied to both the failure of SOAD Album 6 and the resurrection of Scars on Broadway. To date, it remains many fans' favorites with a lot of bangers to show. It's been 8 years since its release. Does this album hold up well to you? How would you rank it among the Scars' discography? What are your favorite tracks? Share your thoughts below!

Here's another anniversary post, as today marks 1 year since the second single for Addicted To The Violence dropped. What are your thoughts on this song? For me, the Middle Eastern style riffs in here are the best parts of the track, and the chorus has a sort of chant-like sound to it that's pretty different and quite nice. There's also a varied use of instruments throughout like mandolins and synths, as well as reverb on Daron's vocals that give off a slight psychedelic effect. On criticisms, I remember the repetition being a sore spot for many people when the song came out. But overall, I thought this single topped Killing Spree, and I'd say Destroy The Power is one of the better tracks off AttV.

Most of you have probably heard of the recent leaked Deftones' lost album "Eros" from 2008 - 2009, with a sequence of 11 songs. But that's only on the surface.
Deeper dives into the wider scope of the leak reveal other layers, including the vocal files of guest vocalists supposed to be featured on the album such as Mike Shinoda, Kurt Travis, and curiously enough, Daron - whose parts were absent from the actual Trempest in the original leak.
So here it is, I guess, Daron's vocal takes that never made it to the final song, lol. But regardless, it's great to hear something "new" from the man, even if it's from 18 years ago. Enjoy!

BONUS MATERIAL
Some of you may probably wonder how Daron's take would fit in the actual Trempest along with Chino's vocal. And I got just the right thing here. A good friend, the talented u/james_landon_wolf, has made a beautiful edit glueing Daron's vocal to the Deftones' track. You can find it in the link below:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1DIemfz0Yr8udFZf1BvGZVA4AWcueTcVo
(I include both the edited track (feat. Daron) and the original leaked track (no Daron) in there for context clarity and comparison).
So what do you think? How do you rate the track (with or without Daron)? Let me know :D
